Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Artisan Cash Inc. ("Artisan," "we," "us") and govern your access to and use of artisan.cash and the Artisan product (the "Service"). By joining our waitlist, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Who can use Artisan
You must be at least 18 years old, a resident of the United States, able to form a binding contract, and not barred from using the Service under applicable law or sanctions. You agree to provide accurate information and to complete identity verification when required.
What Artisan is
Artisan is software for a non-custodial account for stablecoins. You hold your own funds in a self-custodial wallet that you control; Artisan does not take custody of your funds and cannot move them without your authorization. Regulated services, such as converting between U.S. dollars and stablecoins, card issuing, bank transfers, and identity verification, are provided by licensed third-party partners, and your use of those services may be subject to their own terms.
Your account and security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and of any keys or codes used to authorize activity in your wallet. Because the wallet is non-custodial, you are responsible for transactions you authorize, and neither Artisan nor our partners can reverse a completed on-chain transaction. Notify us promptly at team@artisan.cash if you suspect unauthorized access.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- break any law or regulation, or facilitate illegal activity;
- launder money, finance terrorism, or evade sanctions;
- defraud, deceive, or harm Artisan, our partners, or other users;
- interfere with, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service; or
- use the Service on behalf of a sanctioned person or from a prohibited jurisdiction.
Risks you accept
- Not a bank. Artisan is not a bank. Balances are not deposits and are not insured by the FDIC, the SIPC, or any government agency.
- Digital-asset risk. Stablecoins and other digital assets carry risk, including the risk that a stablecoin loses its peg or that you lose value. Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible.
- Self-custody. You control your wallet. If you lose access to your credentials or recovery method, we may be unable to recover your funds for you.
- Not investment advice. Nothing in the Service is investment, legal, or tax advice. Any yield feature is self-directed, variable, and not guaranteed, and your capital is at risk.
Fees
We will disclose any fees that apply before you complete a transaction. Third-party partners and blockchain networks may charge their own fees.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party partners and public blockchain networks that we do not control. We are not responsible for their acts, omissions, availability, or terms, and their involvement does not make them a party to these Terms.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Artisan or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You retain ownership of your own funds and data.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Artisan and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or digital assets, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Artisan harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of applicable law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the Service, our partners, or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time. Because your wallet is non-custodial, you retain control of your funds.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
