What is the usual way to pay a mortgage from crypto?

The common route has four steps.

  • First. Send USDC to an exchange and sell it for dollars.
  • Second. Start a withdrawal to your bank by ACH.
  • Third. Wait for the money to reach your bank. Two exchanges' help pages give up to 2 business days and 3 to 5 business days.
  • Fourth. Pay your servicer from your bank account.

That route is often free in fees, so the case for paying from your balance is the steps and the wait you skip, not a lower price. If your money is already in a bank account, pay your servicer from it.
