Which chains you can use
Your Artisan address lives on a network, and money arrives only if it was sent on a network Artisan can receive on.
Right now that is 9 networks:
base, base, ethereum, arbitrum, solana, polygon, bnb chain, optimism, avalanche
Why the list is this length
A network goes on that list when Artisan can receive on it and send the money back if something goes wrong on the way. A network we can take money on but cannot return money on does not go on it, whatever else is true about that network.
So the list grows when the return path is proven, not when the receiving path is. That is the slower of the two, on purpose.
If you send on a network that is not on the list
Money sent to your address on a network that is not listed does not arrive in your balance, and Artisan cannot go and get it back for you.
Check the network in the app you are sending from, every time, before you confirm. The address often looks identical across networks, and that is exactly what makes this one easy to get wrong.
Add money in the app is the live version of this. The networks it offers are the ones open at the moment you look, which is a stronger answer than any list written on a page.
