Send crypto to Cash App from a USDC balance
You can send crypto to Cash App from an Artisan balance when the crypto is USDC. USDC is a stablecoin, a digital currency built to hold a steady value. Artisan sends it to your Cash App, or a friend’s, and Cash App turns it into US dollars in the Cash Balance. You need no exchange account and sell nothing first.
What arrives in Cash App?
Cash App takes USDC as a stablecoin deposit. Cash App’s own help page says what arrives is converted to U.S. dollars in the Cash Balance, so the person receiving sees dollars and there is no separate stablecoin balance. It also says Cash App charges nothing to receive stablecoins.
Cash App accepts USDC on four networks: Solana, Ethereum, Polygon and Arbitrum. A network is the blockchain that carries the transfer. Artisan sends to Cash App on Solana. Your Artisan balance is USDC on Base, which Cash App does not take, so Artisan converts it to USDC on Solana before it sends. Cash App shows a wallet address for each network, a string of letters and numbers that works like an account number.
Does this work for Bitcoin?
No. Artisan sends USDC. Bitcoin goes into Cash App by its own route, the Bitcoin tile and Deposit Bitcoin, which Cash App’s help walks through.
How do you send USDC to Cash App from Artisan?
First. In Artisan, open Move, tap Send, then Send to app, and choose Cash App.
Second. In Cash App, tap the Money tab, then Deposit Stablecoins, and pick Solana.
Third. Copy the Solana wallet address Cash App shows.
Fourth. Paste it into Artisan, enter the amount, check what will land and approve.
Can you send to a friend’s Cash App?
Yes. Ask your friend to open the Money tab, tap Deposit Stablecoins and share their Solana address. You paste it in the same way, and you never need their password or phone.
Cash App says its stablecoin deposits need a verified identity, and that sponsored accounts are not eligible.
Artisan checks the state on your own account, not your friend’s. If your friend lives in New York, Cash App says stablecoin deposits are not available there, so send to their Venmo or PayPal instead, which take a bank send.
What does a 200 USDC send look like?
Say you send 200 USDC to your own Cash App on Solana. Before you approve, Artisan shows what leaves your wallet, 200.00 USDC, what lands, and the cost to send.
The cost to send is Artisan’s fee plus the network’s cost, taken off before it lands. As of October 12, 2026, Artisan’s fee on a send that starts and ends in USDC is 0.02% or less, so on 200 USDC it is $0.04 or less. The network’s cost moves from send to send, so this page gives no figure for it. Artisan shows the fee and what lands before you approve.
How long does it take, and what are the limits?
Artisan labels a send to Cash App on Solana as typically under a minute, and shows the estimate before you approve. Why something is pending covers waits.
Cash App sets its own limits. As read on October 12, 2026, its help page lists $10,000 a week for receiving, and says the limit may be lower on an account under 90 days old. Artisan shows a note on a larger send, because Cash App may delay or return an amount above its limit. Your own limit sits in Cash App under Profile, then Limits.
What if you live in New York?
As read on October 12, 2026, Cash App says stablecoins are not currently available to customers located in New York. If the state on your Artisan account is New York, Artisan sends dollars to the Cash App account and routing numbers as a bank transfer instead. Cash App shows them under Money, then Direct deposit, then View your Account Details. Artisan’s guide notes that the numbers appear only once your Cash App Card is activated.
A bank send usually arrives in 1 to 2 business days. As of October 4, 2026, the standard fee is 0.5%, and a faster send, where it is offered, costs that plus $1.00.
What should you check before you send?
Check the network. Copy the Solana address, because Artisan accepts only a Solana address for Cash App. Cash App says a send on an unsupported network is lost for good, and Artisan cannot pull a send back either.
Check the address. Copy it fresh from Cash App each time. Cash App also says a confirmed stablecoin send cannot be reversed.
Who can use it?
Artisan is for people in the US, and it is open by invite while it grows, so you can join the waitlist. For Venmo and PayPal as well, read How to send USDC to Venmo, Cash App and PayPal. Adding to your balance is in Adding money.
Artisan Cash is a software company, not a bank, and a USDC balance is not a deposit and is not FDIC or SIPC insured. Cash App is a separate company with its own terms. Read how your money is held and the risk disclosures before you send.
