Use Artisan in Claude and ChatGPT
You can add Artisan to Claude or ChatGPT as a connector and ask about your account from there. It reads your account and prepares payments. Nothing moves until you approve it in Artisan.
What it can do
- Read. Your balances, recent activity, the bills that are due and your autopay.
- Prepare. A bill payment, a send, an Earn move or an autopay. Each one waits in Artisan for you to review and approve it, and you can let it lapse.
- Point you to the right screen. To freeze your card or stop a waiting payment, it gives you a link to that screen in Artisan. It does not do either itself.
It cannot sign anything, see your private key or change your settings.
Add it to Claude
Open Settings in Artisan on the web and tap Add to Claude or ChatGPT, in Connections. The sheet shows the connector address with a copy button. It is the only thing you paste.
- First. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, click Add and choose Add custom connector.
- Second. Name it Artisan, paste the connector address and click Continue.
- Third. Keep the sign in Claude detects, with Use Claude's published identity under OAuth client, and click Add.
- Fourth. Approve on the Artisan page that opens.
On Claude's Free plan you can add one custom connector.
Add it to ChatGPT
Adding a connector of your own needs ChatGPT Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu, on the web. On Pro, ChatGPT can read your account but cannot prepare payments. On a Business workspace, an admin adds it.
- First. In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins.
- Second. Select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server.
- Third. Name it Artisan, paste the connector address under Connection, and choose OAuth for authentication.
- Fourth. Tick I understand and want to continue, select Create as a plugin, then approve on the Artisan page that opens.
Remove it
- In Artisan. Open Settings, find the app under Connected apps and tap Remove. Its access ends at once.
- In Claude. Open Customize, then Connectors, and remove Artisan.
- In ChatGPT. Open Settings, then Plugins, select Artisan and choose Disconnect.
Changing your password, turning two-step sign-in on or off, or signing out on all devices also ends every connection. You can add it again at any time.
If Claude or ChatGPT opens an Artisan sign-in page that will not load, remove Artisan in that app and add it again. A connection you did not approve within a day has to be added again.
If you do not see Add to Claude or ChatGPT in Settings, it is not open for your account yet.
